How long will it take for my credit hours to be reported to my state bar?
Please allow AAJ at least thirty days after CLE programs to report all MCLE credit hours.
Does my state calculate credits based on a 50-minute or 60-minute hour?
50-minute states: Colorado, Florida, Kansas, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, West Virginia, Wisconsin
60-minute states: Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, Washington, Wyoming
No CLE required: District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, South Dakota

Kansas: The Kansas MCLE office requires an additional affidavit form when self-reporting. If Kansas is noted on your Certificate of Attendance, AAJ Education will email you this form approximately thirty days after the program.
New Mexico: Please note that the New Mexico MCLE office requires an additional fee of $1.00 per credit hour. After AAJ reports your credits to the New Mexico Bar, you must pay this fee directly to the New Mexico MCLE office before your credits will be reflected on your New Mexico Bar transcripts. If you have any questions, please contact the New Mexico MCLE coordinator at mcle@nmmcle.org.
Virginia: The Virginia MCLE office requires a separate Virginia Certificate of Attendance (Form 2) when you report your CLE credits. If Virginia is noted on your Certificate of Attendance, AAJ Education will email you this form approximately thirty days after the program.
Florida: AAJ does not apply for program accreditation unless the program is held in Florida or is one of AAJ’s two Conventions. If you are seeking credit please submit a Florida CLE application and a completed AAJ Certificate of Attendance directly to the Florida state bar. Please contact AAJ Education for a Florida application.
Texas: In order to self-report your CLE credits you will need a reference number. AAJ Education will email you this form approximately thirty days after the program.
How long do I have to submit my CLE credits for this event? Does AAJ have a late fee policy?
We encourage you to submit your Certificate of Attendance and accompanying worksheet before you leave the program. You can submit your CLE form at the AAJ registration desk outside the lecture room. If your CLE form is not received within thirty days from the program, a $20.00 late fee will be assessed. For purposes of AAJ’s professional recognition programs, AAJ members may submit their credits for any AAJ Education program within the last three years. Depending on your jurisdiction, the reporting deadlines vary. Please contact your state bar for information on reporting CLE credits which were earned more than 12 months ago.
I misplaced my CLE form. How can I get another copy?
